12A - Finding Out Buyer Behavior

The three people that I interviewed were about the same percentage as all of the other interviews conducted in this class.  Two of them agreed that the need is there and that this is a good solution while one was in accordance with the need but thought that the solution may be a bit difficult to market, sell and maintain due to various previously stated reasons.  It seems to me that the idea will become effective as 7 of the 10 potential customers I have spoken too said they would pay up to $100 or even more for the product, which is the price point that we were looking to sell the product for.  Many people said they would not Google or search a product like this because something like that does not exist, but, with a wide marketing plan they would be able to search it and easily find the product.

  1. Hey there James. If you actually go through with this idea I recommend that you try to get it in some home improvement store like Home Depot. That way its getting in the customer's face and it can help you with the marketing of the product, so you do not rely solely on online sales. Or you could license the technology to someone already in the space and that has customers.
